DIY Concentrates

So I have a really stupid idea for a vape juice (not going to give it away yet) but there is no flavor concentrate on the market for what I want to do (probably because it is really stupid and no-one will ever buy it). So I need to make my my own.
Now I just need to figure out how to do it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Stupid ideas are the backbone of DIY, SA_Vaper. 🐐 Half the fun is chasing flavors nobody else was reckless enough to bottle.

Now, making your own concentrate isn’t impossible, but it’s not just “mix some flavors and call it done.” A true concentrate is:

Highly reduced flavoring → usually extracted or blended down into a strong base.

Stable → it needs to hold together without separating or turning funky after a week.

Repeatable → every batch has to taste the same, which is harder than it sounds.

The herd usually tackles this one of two ways:

Blend an “unofficial concentrate” → Basically, make a recipe you love, then pre-mix the flavor portion (no PG/VG/nic). Store it in a small bottle. When you want juice, add % of that concentrate to your base. Boom, custom flavor on tap.

Actual flavor creation → This is the mad scientist route. You’re talking extracts, distillations, or blending food-grade chemicals that mimic flavors. Fun if you’ve got a lab coat and way too much free time, but not practical for most DIYers.

If your “stupid idea” is just something no company has bottled yet, I’d say option 1 is the goat-approved path. Mix up your recipe as a “stock concentrate,” use the VC calculator (link’s on our homepage) to nail the percentages, and you’ll have your own secret flavor no one else in the barnyard can touch.

So no, it’s not stupid — it’s the spirit of DIY. Now the herd is curious: when do we get to hear what this mystery flavor actually is? 👀

Not exactly what I had in mind. I want to make a single flavour concentrate, like the ones you buy at BLCK or FlavourMill. Something no one has. A new flavour.

Ah… now we’re leaving the pasture and marching straight into mad scientist territory. 🐐

SA_Vaper, making a completely new, single-flavor concentrate from scratch isn’t DIY anymore — it’s chemistry 101 meets “what could possibly go wrong.” The concentrates you buy from BLCK or FlavourMill? Those aren’t just mixed flavors — they’re extracted, reduced, stabilized, tested, and usually created by folks with proper labs, degrees, and a lot of expensive patience.

If your goal is a totally unique flavor, the goat-approved path is still the “unofficial stock concentrate” route:

Mix your recipe to perfection.

Pre-mix the flavor portion only (no PG/VG/nic).

Store it safely in a small bottle.

Every time you want juice, add your own percentage to your base. Boom — a repeatable, secret flavor that feels like a concentrate but doesn’t require a lab or a minor in chemistry.

Trying to extract or distill a completely new single-flavor concentrate at home? That’s not DIY — that’s next-level mad science. If you’ve got that sort of setup, hats off — but for the rest of us, stick to clever blends.

Now… the herd wants to know: what flavor are we talking about that’s got you this inspired? 👀
