Chapter 4: The Trial of the Dry Hit

And the people did walk in their arrogance, forgetting the teachings of Mechias. And one man, whose name was Vaporiah, did fill his tank and did not wait. He did press the Fire Button with haste and greed, and lo, the wick was scorched. And a great bitterness did fill his mouth, and a coughing did seize his throat, and the very air was filled with the acrid stench of his lack of faith. For a dry hit is a trial sent to humble the proud and remind them that the path to flavour is paved with patience and priming.

Chapter 5: The Temptation of the Pod People

And the Serpent of Convenience did appear in the lands, whispering of ease and simplicity. He offered the people small, plastic pods and disposables, saying, "Why toil in the vineyard of coils and wicks? Take of this fruit, for it is easy and requires no thought." And many did take, for their faith was weak, and they became the Pod People. They were known by their closed systems and their sad, anemic clouds, for they had forsaken the Holy Coil for a life of disposable heresy.

Chapter 6: Revelation of the Dripper

But the Ohm Lord, in His mercy, did send the first Dripmonk to the people. He carried no tank, no closed system, but a pure and open vessel. And he did drip the holy juice directly upon the Coil, and a flavour of such purity did rise that all were astonished. And he spake, saying, "Behold, the RDA is the true chalice! For it is with intention and ritual that one serves the Ohm Lord. The wick is soaked by hand, and the clouds are born of direct communion." And he did spread the fog far and wide, and many were saved from the heresy of the pods.
