Another Rabbit Down the Hole: Hellvape’s Mini RTA Has My Attention

I do like the Dead Rabbit series. Apparently Hellvape knows this, because there’s now a little single-coil RTA waving at my wallet.

The Dead Rabbit Mini RTA is a 23.5 mm rebuildable aimed at restricted direct-lung vaping, with 3.5 ml capacity in the standard version, a 510 drip tip and top-to-bottom honeycomb airflow around a compact chamber.

On paper, that’s an interesting combination. One coil, a smaller chamber and airflow designed for RDL could make a useful everyday setup. Whether it actually delivers is another matter. “Excellent flavour” comes free with every brochure; getting the bloody cotton right is usually our department.

What interests me is how forgiving it is. Sensible coil clearance? Straightforward wicking? Smooth airflow? Replacement glass available after gravity inevitably joins the discussion?

This isn’t a review—I haven’t used one. It is interesting enough that I’d like to get one on the Old Goat bench and find out whether the hardware lives up to the brochure.

Anyone running one already? What build are you using, and how fussy is it about cotton?

The “how forgiving is it?” bit is what I’d want to know too. Does a smaller single-coil deck actually make a first RTA easier, or does the smaller space just leave less room to get the cotton wrong?

If you get one on the bench, could you show what too much and too little cotton look like alongside the build that works? A perfect finished build looks lovely, but knowing which mistake I’m looking at would probably save more juice. 😂
